Terms of Service
Last updated 8 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you (the business or person who creates an account) and [legal entity name, ABN], which runs Hop On Help (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using Hop On Help you agree to them. If you use Hop On Help for a business, you confirm you can agree on its behalf.
1. What Hop On Help is
Hop On Help lets you set up remote access to computers you look after, connect to them, and keep a record of who connected to what. Sessions are encrypted end to end between the two computers. We run the accounts, the setup links and the servers that put the two computers in touch.
2. Your account
- Give us accurate details and keep them up to date.
- Keep your password, authenticator app and recovery codes safe. Two-step sign-in is required for every account.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what the people you invite do.
- Tell us straight away at abuse@hoponhelp.com if you think someone else has got into your account.
3. Acceptable use
You may only connect to a computer when its owner, or the person responsible for it, has agreed. You must not use Hop On Help to:
- get into any computer, account or data without permission;
- run or help any scam, including “tech support”, refund, bank, government or romance scams;
- pretend to be another person, business or government agency;
- install malware, ransomware or spyware, or take data you have no right to;
- watch or record anyone without the consent the law requires;
- break any law, including the Criminal Code Act 1995, the Privacy Act 1988 and the Spam Act 2003;
- attack, overload, reverse-engineer or get around the security of Hop On Help.
4. Suspension and cooperation with law enforcement
We can suspend or close an account at any time, without notice, if we reasonably believe it is being used in breach of these terms, to cause harm, or for crime. When an account is suspended nobody in it can sign in, connect or add computers. We keep records of account activity, sign-ins, setup links and connections, and we will give them to police and other authorities when the law requires it or when we believe it is needed to protect people from harm. To report misuse, use our misuse report form or email abuse@hoponhelp.com.
5. Trials, plans and payment
Plans, prices and limits are shown on our website and in your account. [Billing terms, renewals, refunds and GST to be completed when paid plans launch.] Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
6. Your data
You own the data you put into Hop On Help. We use it only to run the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. We don't see what's on the screens you connect to.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep Hop On Help running and secure but can't promise it will never be unavailable. We may change the service or these terms; if a change is significant we'll tell account owners by email before it takes effect.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. [To be reviewed by a lawyer.]
9. Ending your account
You can stop using Hop On Help at any time. Remove the Hop On Help app from each computer like any other program.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of [State], Australia.
